If you live at the Villages at Huntington, you should have received an important email blast on Tuesday, June 13, 2017. Below is the content of that email:
Dear Residents,Friday afternoon/evening, June 9, at around 5:30, when the pool was closed, a group of teenagers, some on bicycles, climbed over the fence enclosing the pool to enter the area.As you can see from the below pictures, the teens successfully gained entrance by grabbing a new pool chair, lifting it over the fence. and using it as a step stool/ ladder to climb over the fence. Several of the teens then exited the pool deck by moving a table in the kiddie pool area close to the fence enabling them to climb back out. These brazen activities took place in broad daylight. This incident was reported by a resident. The youths were interrupted by a rep from the pool company arriving to service the pool. The teens quickly scattered when the pool rep entered the area.We are enclosing photos captured by cameras in the area. If anyone recognizes any of the teens or has any information to share, please contact us. The main concerns regarding rules and regulations are always safety and security. Breaking and entering into any locked area is prohibited and can be a safety risk, particularly an area with an unsupervised pool. In addition, the community has just spent tens of thousands of dollars on new pool furniture. To have our residents or guests misuse and damage this brand new furniture is disturbing and costly. The summer season is just beginning. Please, let’s all work together to keep our residents and property safe and secure. Once again, if you see something say something.Thank you, The Board of Directors
