If you live at The Villages at Huntington, you should have received an important email blast on Monday, January 29, 2018. Below is the content of that email:
Dear Residents,Even though we are still in the thick of winter, on mild enough days you may see our sprinkler company, C&C Sprinklers, Inc., turning on or blowing out zones of our sprinkler system. We contracted with them to install new, advanced Hunter ProHC irrigation controllers to save money on watering and to decrease the damage to our common area caused by mowing on wet turf. The controllers work with a smart device that adjusts daily – watering days and duration will be based upon local weather conditions. We spend about $16K per year on water and expect to recoup our cost over approximately two to three years.By doing the work in the winter, we are saving approximately 25% of the contracted price compared to a spring installation. We do not anticipate that this work will impact our residents. The Board is always working to make our community a better place to live.Sincerely,Board of Directors
