If you live at The Villages at Huntington or The Villages West, you should have received an important email blast on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. Below is the content of that email:

We received the following information from Maximum Security and want to make you aware of a neighboring issue. We have had no incidents here and the guards have been alerted as to how to proceed.

“In the past few days a local gated community, The Legends in Melville, has been subject to individuals attempting to gain entry into the community stating they were representatives from either Vector Security ( local company) or Smart Home Security (ADT).

They claim to service certain residents as a home alarm company and have used the names of the residents, their nannies and cleaning employees in order to facilitate their entry.

Our guards at The Legends have thwarted their attempts each time.

Although we believe this is simply aggressive sales tactics, it is never the less concerning.

Being that Villages WEST is in proximity to this community, we implore you to alert your residents of this situation as we have done so with all of our guard staff. We will be sure to update you with any development.”
