If you live at The Villages West, you should have received an important email blast on Tuesday, January 13, 2018. Below is the content of that email:

It recently came to the attention of the board that there have been some problems regarding security.
The specific incidents in questions were narrowed down to a specific guard and that guard is no longer employed by Maximum in our community. This was taken care of as soon as Maximum was alerted to the problem and able to investigate.
In addition, two other issues have been addressed: one, the case of multiple deliveries within the community by one delivery person and the second the request of password when entering the community in something other than resident’s own vehicle. Upon your request, Maximum will instruct guards to ask delivery people if they are making multiple deliveries and if so, to indicate the appropriate addresses so residents can be notified (Please understand if this is the case, you may be waiting a little after a call and of course, this requires the cooperation of the delivery person to supply the information).
With regard to orally supplying password when in a vehicle other than resident’s own, Maximum has indicated that if the resident supplies his/her ID to the guard, the guard will check and then scan the car in which the resident is riding as they would a visitor. Password would then not have to be stated in front of an Uber or taxi driver or others.
Finally it is important that with any complaints or concerns, NAI and/or a board member should be contacted. (Facebook is not the appropriate venue to solve issues. If the board/NAI is not aware, the issue cannot be resolved.) And please know it is not permitted for residents to contact vendors directly. We have a policy in our regulations regarding this. It is also does not help us keep track of concerns/issues with specific vendors.
We have found Maximum most responsive to our needs and are extremely willing to take our suggestions to heart.
Thank you for your cooperation and input.
