If you live at The Villages at Huntington, you should have received an important email blast on Wednesday, April 4, 2018. Below is the content of that email:
Dear Residents,We are working closely with the new security company, US Security, to make certain the transition goes as smoothly as possible. Thank you for informing us of any problems so they can be addressed. If you have any Ubers, Lyfts, limos, taxis, or the like entering the community please do the following: drivers need first and last names of residents and house number/street name. You understand that when a driver enters and tells the guard he is going to “Joe” with no other information to offer, he cannot be allowed entry by the security guard. The guard has no one to contact. If there was a previous call from a resident saying that an Uber will be arriving and to let him in, that is a different situation. In addition, at times, when a visitor requests entry, the resident does not answer the phone on the listed number(s). If there was no prior call informing the guard to let a particular visitor in, it is the guard’s job to deny the visitor entry. If you do not have your clicker with you, when entering on the visitor side, it would be expedient for you to have your driver’s license ready to present to the security guard. He may ask for your password as well. This above is a protocol used by all security companies if they are to accomplish their goal of keeping out those who do not belong in the community. Cooperation on all sides is needed for this system to work optimally. Our guard house is an active one so when a situation like one of the above arises, delaying the admittance process, it can result in a back up of vehicles.Thank you.Board of DirectorsVillages at Huntington
